Lalor gets over 6,000 signatures for Energy Security Now! Line

East Fishkill, NY; August 21, 2008 – Kieran Michael Lalor, the Republican candidate challenging freshman Rep. John Hall, has submitted almost 6,300 signatures in support of adding his Energy Security Now! line to the ballot in November.  Lalor will appear on the ballot on three lines, Republican, Conservative, and Energy Security Now!

"Over 6,000 voters have given their support to the Energy Security Now! line.  These voters are saying they want real solutions to the energy crisis.  They want to say yes to all options that can bring relief," said Lalor.

"By casting their vote on the Energy Security Now! line, Hudson Valley voters can make this election a referendum on energy policy.  They'll be saying yes to more drilling, yes to safe nuclear energy, and yes to the development of alternative energy," said Campaign Spokesperson Chris Covucci.

Almost 6,300 voters signed on to support Lalor, joining the 7,000 who had already signed his Republican and Conservative petitions.  That is over twice as many signatures as Hall managed to gather on his petitions.

"John Hall is only telling voters what we can't do to solve the energy crisis.  John Hall won't allow America to harness its own resources.  He won't cut the gas tax.  He wants to close our nuclear plants even as energy prices have been rising," said Lalor
